Mon, Apr 4: Imperial Sand Dunes and Organ Pipe National Monument

Drove past the Salton Sea, and took a quick stop at the Imperial Sand Dunes.

And then stopped in Yuma for lunch.  We were disappointed in their historical section, as it was in the 1950’s and not historical to us :-), instead of the old west that we had expected.

We then drove to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.  They also had lots of Saguaro cactus (more than in the Saguaro monument according to some).

As well as the namesake organ Pipe cactus.  Organ Pipe Cactus has lots of trunks coming up from the bottom.

We stayed the night in Ajo, a quaint little town.
