Sun, Apr 3: Joshua Tree National Monument

On our way to Arizona, we drove through Joshua Tree National Monument, spending most of day there. Very pretty Yucca plants, lots of rock formations,.  We took a couple of short hikes.

We stopped at an overlook over Coachella Valley.  You can see the San Andreas fault (the ridge running down the valley).
