On our way to Arizona, we drove through Joshua Tree National Monument,
spending most of day there. Very pretty Yucca plants, lots of rock formations,. We took a couple of short hikes.

We stopped at an overlook over Coachella Valley. You can see the San Andreas fault (the ridge running
down the valley).
