Thu, Apr 7: Mission San Xavier del Bac and Biosphere 2

In the morning we were going to tour an open pit mine, but both the morning tours were booked with school tours.  We reserved the last afternoon tour, then headed over to the Mission San Xavier del Bac.

And then a long drive to Biosphere 2, for a very interesting tour.  Originally a two year experiment with 8 people living inside the Biosphere, with no supplies from the outside.  Now it is an experimental station for water flow and percolation into the ground over various terrain.

This was the end of our trip, since we canceled the open pit mine tour, since we could not make it back there in time.
